The surrounding area has an attractive hilly landscape. There are fields and woods stretching into the distance, traditional villages and small towns. LEspiegle is near the Darney Forestry Commissions woods where you can enjoy many beautiful walking routes. You can enjoy swimming nearby, in open water and in an indoor pool. Youll find attractive bric-a-brac markets locally on Sundays, especially in the peak season. There are a number of restaurants nearby. LEspiegle is also very near the Route Thermale. You can enjoy spa treatments in a number of towns here such as Vittel, Bains les Bains and Contrexville. The Elzas Region is an hours drive away. You can enjoy exploring some very beautiful wine routes here. The Les Ballons des Vosges National Park is also an hours drive away. You can enjoy cross-country skiing and downhill skiing at La Bresse in winter. The area is excellent for walking and cycling in summer. The city of Vittel has golf, swimming and an adventure park. Epinal offers canoeing and an attractive city centre. Both are only a 30 minute drive away. The oldest glass factory in France is at Passavant la Rochere, 20 minutes by car from the farmhouse. It is well worth a visit.
