The village of Gündoğan is one of the oldest settlements on the Aegean Sea and has a long promenade with many restaurants, bars and shops. Wander the charming village and land in the charming harbour for a Turkish snack and drink. Real shoppers will be better off in the large town of Bodrum (25 minutes by car), where you will find many (souvenir) shops. There are also other places in the bay worth a visit, there are regular local markets and you can sample ultra-fresh fish in Yalikavak (6 km), for example. The airport at Milas (Bodrum) is only a 30-minute drive from Villa Lale.
