You can enjoy swimming in a large salt water swimming pool and in the river. There are plenty of interesting places in the area which are well worth visiting. These include Tábua which is fifteen minutes away by car, Oliveira do Hospital and Santa Comba Dão, both twenty minutes away. The University of Coïmbra is 45 minutes away by car. The Serra da Estrela National Park, home of the highest mountain on the Portuguese mainland, is around 40 minutes away by car. You can enjoy excellent walking in the national park. You'll also find a wide variety of walking, cycling and driving routes in the immediate area. You can enjoy many water sports including wind surfing, kayaking and canoeing on the river. Equipment can be rented from the owner. You can also enjoy fishing, riding and mountain biking. Golfers can enjoy the 27-hole Montebelo Golf Club with its wonderful views.
