Set in a large garden on the edge of the forest at 1300m, Chalet Larchenweg is a super private house for an independently minded group or larger family. It is a 10 minute drive uphill from the village of Afritz, located on one of Carinthia's many lakes -one of the purest biking, hiking, skiing and relaxing regions in Austria. There are many activities available for every season including, skiing, Nordic walking, ice-skating, fishing, swimming, mountain bike riding, and sailing. In the winter you can ski directly onto the slopes from the garden of the chalet giving access to the family ski resort of Verditz. You can also explore the larger ski areas of Gerlitzen and Bad Kleinkirchheim (home of Franz Klammer) within a 20/30 minute drive respectively. During the summer, the private garden offers a terrace and barbeque area - ideal for relaxing after a day exploring the mountain. There is a lovely community on the mountain, with 2 bars/restaurants within a few minutes walk away should you feel like a night out. Recently renovated (2008-10), the interior is very flexible offering space for everyone and includes 3 living rooms, 4 bedrooms, wireless internet throughout, sauna and the added advantage of a self contained apartment on the top floor with a kitchen, separate bedroom and a low-ceiling bathroom - ideal for a family or older children looking for a little privacy within your group.
