The Simonswäldertal, which is located in the Südschwarzwald Natural Park, is a part of the holiday region of Zweitälerland and is truly a paradise for hikers. Simsonswald is a small holiday village, 20 km north east of Freiburg. The village is situated in a side valley of Elztals, an area that enjoys more sun hours than the rest of Germany, thanks to the air stream coming from the Rheintal. Simonswalt has been recognized by the State as a spot for relaxation and is characterized by the mild climate in the area. In Simonswald, you will find, among others, an open air swimming pool and several cosy restaurants. The Zweribachwaterfal can be best described as ?Natur pur? and is a must see for the many hikers. Swimming pools, mountain bike routes, rafting, volplaning, tennis, fishing (fly fishing), midget golf, forest walks, skittle alleys, folkloric party evenings, spa, concerts, and this is just a small selection of the many facilities that Somonswäldertal has to offer. The beautiful house ?Haus am Wald? is located amidst the green fields and forests on the edge of the village of Simonswald and enjoys a wonderful view over the surrounding forests. The house is situated on a large terrain of about 3000 m with a playing and sunbathing area, a small pond and many playing facilities for the children. The holiday home (with a balcony) is on the ground floor and covers about 50m2. It is nicely furnished. Favourite excursions are: Freiburg (22km), Europapark Rust (48km), Strasburg (60km), Switzerland (65km), France (26km), Colmar (60km), Bodensee (75km) and Titisee (35km).
