La Canarde

Property Description

La Canarde is a former sheep barn, built in the early 18th century. It is on the edge of a wood and in a high position. The house enjoys splendid views of the valley in almost every direction. There is a large jeu-de-boules alley behind the house. You'll find a delightful, unenclosed orchard with apples, pears, cherries, quince and kiwis a little further away. The house is surrounded by the large wine areas of Burgundy. These include Chardonnay, Macon and Beaujolais. Historic medieval towns such as Cluny and Macon are not far. Autun and Beaune are a little further north. Lyon is just 70 km away. The town of Taize is a ten minute drive.
