Unusual night in a plane in the heart of the countryside
Property Description
Unique accommodation for an unusual night in a plane in the heart of the beautiful Vosges countryside. On 27 May 1955, the worlds first medium range twin-jet aircraft took off, the Caravelle. The flagship of French aviation, 282 of these planes were made. Aircraft 233 named Ohrid was sold to the Yugoslav company JAT in 1967 and finished its last flight in Corse Air colours in 1985. After 20,000 hours flying the plane was decommissioned and taken to the Vosges. Today its owner has converted the Caravelle into a unique form of holiday accommodation in which visitors can spend a most unusual night. The accommodation is completely self-contained, simply equipped but very original. An 8 hectare leisure park devoted to nature has also been created between the meadow and forest with Lorraines largest permanent maze. This park is part of the La Ferme Aventure estate, is only open in the summer and guests have to pay extra for access.
